The Pacific (2010)

THE PACIFIC tells the true story of the interspersed destinies of three Marines – Robert Leckie (James Badge Dale), Eugene Sledge (Joe Mazzello) and John Basilone (Jon Seda) – throughout the operations on the Pacific front during the World War II. The ministry follows in the footsteps of these people and their comrades-in-arms, from their first victory against the Japanese at Guadalcanal to the rainforests of Cape Gloucester and the Peleliu fortresses along the bloody sand dunes of Iwo Jima and of the horror called Okinawa and until the triumphant and not at all easy return home after the declaration of victory against Japan.
